Abdulla Daoud is the Executive Director of The Refugee Centre and incoming course instructor of Asylum Seeking & Refugee Policy at the Max Bell School of Public Policy. He holds a graduate degree in cybersecurity and international relations from King’s College London, complementing his strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, and political science.
Daoud is a board member of the Canadian Council for Refugees and actively participates in federal policy committees and task forces, where he contributes to shaping Canada’s refugee and immigration landscape. Drawing on first-hand experiences as part of a refugee and migrant family, along with extensive policy intervention work at both governmental and NGO levels, he merges data-driven analysis with on-the-ground advocacy. In his role at The Refugee Centre, Daoud oversees a dedicated team and a diverse portfolio of programs, ensuring that operational excellence translates into impactful support for refugees and immigrants across Canada.
