January 23, 2025 |聽Organizations advocating for LGBTQ2S+ rights in Quebec are speaking out against comments made by Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, who said he鈥檚 only aware of two genders. Professor and聽Human rights lawyer Pearl Eliadis said there鈥檚 a lot of disinformation on social media conflating sex and gender. 鈥淚t almost feels like, politicians who are using this anti-woke agenda are exploiting people鈥檚 fear and lack of understanding of a really complex social and sometimes biological issue,鈥� Eliadis noted.
