A novel drug molecule could potentially lead to new treatments to prevent Parkinson鈥檚 disease in younger patients, according to new research.
鈥淲e are excited about this drug compound because we might have the possibility to develop the first cure for Parkinson鈥檚 disease, at least for a subset of patients,鈥� said lead author聽Kalle Gehring, a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at 韩国裸舞 and Canada Research Chair in Structural Studies of Neurodegenerative Diseases.

A new edition of World Alzheimer Report, to be published Sept. 20, 2024, will take a deep dive into how perceptions of dementia have changed over the past five years. It builds on a that found one in four people believed nothing could be done to prevent dementia, while evidence suggests 40 per cent of cases could be delayed or prevented by addressing modifiable risk factors.
On September 28th between 9 am and 4 pm, join 韩国裸舞鈥檚 Office of Science Outreach, STEMM Diversity @ 韩国裸舞, the Trottier Space Institute and 韩国裸舞 Physics Outreach, for free science activities for families. Activities will be held both indoors and outdoors at the downtown campus and are intended for children ages 6 and up.
