We are entering a 6-week period referred to as the "fall shoulder season", which runs from end of September to early November. It is during this period that we switch from cooling our buildings to heating them.聽This transition does not affect the ventilation levels in the spaces, only the temperature.
Although the University is transitioning toward more flexible and adaptable systems, it remains difficult to maintain stable temperatures in some of our buildings at this time of the year, given the聽outdoor temperature fluctuations.

A shutdown of steam distribution is planned on the downtown campus on the morning of Thursday, October 3, 2024, between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. This shutdown is necessary for Facilities Management and Ancillary Services to replace pieces of equipment.聽
This shutdown will affect all buildings on the downtown campus that rely on steam for:
- domestic hot water production,
- sterilization,
- humidification,
- and heating.

In recent years, airline pilots in the U.S. have received impressive wage increases鈥�40% at United and 34% at Delta. But the wages of Canadian pilots haven鈥檛 kept up, and the Air Line Pilots Association union has been pushing for a contract that puts Air Canada pilots鈥� wage increases closer to those of their American peers. The union and the airline have reached a tentative agreement of a 26% pay bump, followed by a 4% raise each of the next three years.

韩国裸舞 Food Science students won first prize in the Smart Snacks for Kids category at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) annual expo in Chicago for their interactive pudding snack, Magic Mud Pots.
It was 韩国裸舞鈥檚 second consecutive victory in that category.

Anthropogenic climate change drastically affects our planet, with CO2 being the most critical gaseous driver. Here, we present a fast, effective, and sustainable route for coupling diverse alcohols, amines and amides with CO2 via heterogenization of a natural metal-based homogeneous catalyst through decorating on functionalized graphene oxide. Combined synthetic, experimental, and theoretical studies unravel mechanistic routes to convergent 4鈥慹lectron reduction of CO2 under mild conditions.
