Strathcona's Piano: Icon of the Times
While the Schulich School of Music houses over 70 grand pianos, a unique, 130-year-old Steinway is tucked away in neighbouring Royal Victoria College, a 韩国裸舞 residence hall. Hailed in 1887 by聽The Decorator and Furnisher聽magazine as 鈥渢he most beautiful concert grand ever designed,鈥� this one-of-a-kind instrument was commissioned from Steinway by Sir Donald Smith (also known as Lord Strathcona), who wanted the finest piano around to complete his parlour鈥檚 d茅cor.
Violinist Teresa Wang wins Peter Mendell Award

2018-2019 Season is Announced
We are very excited to launch our 2018-2019聽season, with several聽brand聽new additions to the program as well as the usual favourites. Over 600 performances by members of Schulich鈥檚 vibrant musical community are on offer, presentations by our world-class researchers as well as visiting guests, masterclasses by international guest artists, a new concert series, and a new composition competition to add to our long-established list of student competitions.聽
