The Schulich School of Music announces the appointment of Soprano Dominique Labelle to the Voice Faculty effective August 1st 2014
With a career that includes numerous appearances on stages in Europe, Asia and North America, Dominique Labelle’s return to Québec as voice professor at Schulich is both a joyous homecoming and marks the turn of a page.   Ms. Labelle has consistently received great acclaim for her performances and has made numerous recordings of opera and concert repertoire.

This year Schulich Grads Sweep Jazz at the Junos
Graduates of the Schulich School of Music posted a clean sweep of the jazz category at Saturday’s Juno Awards in Winnipeg.
Program alumni Christine Jensen, Mike Downes and Mike Rud took home the hardware for Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year,Traditional Jazz Album of the Year and Vocal Jazz Album of the Year respectively.

Victor Fournelle-Blain winner of the Golden Violin Competition
Following an exciting public recital competition held on Saturday, March 15th in Tanna Schulich Hall, and approximately 15 minutes of deliberation, Jury chair  Prof. Douglas McNabney announced Victor Fournelle-Blain  as winner of the Golden Violin Competition.

Professor Andrew Dunn, Brass Area Chair, has been elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM)
This honour is conferred on past students of the Academy who have distinguished themselves in the music profession and have made a significant contribution to it in their particular field.
