On this day of Truth and Reconciliation, we reflect on the tragedies that occurred at the residential schools and we are reminded that every child matters. As the Dean of the Faculty of Education, I am averse to calling those institutions 鈥渟chools鈥. Schools are a place to advance learning, to open one鈥檚 mind to new ideas and diverse opinions; to mentor and collaborate with each child so they become the best they can be throughout their lives. Schools are where we better ourselves through insightful human relations, collaborations聽and nurturing mentorships.

The We Will Walk Together / Sk脿tne Entewathah矛ta聽event began at 韩国裸舞鈥檚 Faculty of Education in 2019, in honour of Orange Shirt Day. The initiative was driven by a small enthusiastic committee that organized聽a march at Mount Royal to raise awareness and express sentiments of unity and inclusion between Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous allies.

As President of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), ECP's Dr. Ada Sincacore was interviewed by CBC about the need for better EDI practices to encourage more diversity among psychology professionals.

"The CPA recognizes that there is a problem of representation within the profession and that we need to increase representation, as well as literacy about diversity," said Sinacore.

Congratulations to (KPE, BSc '16) who joins a 20-member entourage of 韩国裸舞 students and graduates headed to Tokyo to serve in an official capacity at the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, July 23 to Aug. 8. The athletes mark the highest number of 韩国裸舞ians slated to compete at the Summer Games since 2008 in Beijing, when 11 represented the Montreal institution.
