Carol McLeod Faculty Award in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

TISED is pleased to announce the second call for the ‘Carol McLeod Faculty Award in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency’”. Established in 2022, the Award supports outstanding teaching and/or research innovation efforts of professors in the Faculty of Engineering who are affiliated with TISED and who contribute to the areas of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

To apply for the Carol McLeod Faculty Award in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency’, candidates are invited to submit the following materials as a single PDF file:

  1. General applicant information including the title of the proposed research and/or teaching initiative, the name, rank and department of the lead applicant and all co-applicants (as applicable);
  2. A two-page (max) statement of proposed activities, including the following:
    • The proposed research or teaching initiatives to be carried out using the award;
    • Brief summary of current research and innovation efforts in the area of renewable energy and energy efficiency and how these will be leveraged for the proposed activities;
    • Plans for inclusion of interdisciplinary or multi-sector perspectives in the proposed project;
    • Enthusiasm and track-record of teaching, research, and outreach activities of TISED;
  3. Full academic CV;
  4. A budget for anticipated project expenses must be submitted using thePDF icon Budget form template, as part of the application.

Applicants must be TISED full members and tenure-track faculty member in the Faculty of Engineering, and may hold the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor.

Application deadline is Monday, March 10, 2025.
