Expert: Protecting heart health when shovelling snow

Many people are digging out after back-to-back storms dumped more than 70 centimetres of snow on Montreal. The physical strain of shovelling snow is known to increase the risk of heart attacks, particularly for those with underlying health conditions.

Mitch Shulman, MD, Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, and attending physician, Montreal General and Royal Victoria hospitals, can share his expertise on preventing winter injuries and recognizing heart-attack symptoms.
