Before all else – medical school graduates on becoming family doctors
Family medicine is a precise discipline, integrating biomedical, behavioural and social sciences, while employing a range of cognitive and procedural skills. Family physicians provide care from dedicated offices, hospitals, clinics and long-term care facilities.
Remote possibilities – Rural family medicine and the military
If all goes according to plan, Lieutenant Bradley Martire, MD, a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and a second-year medical resident at º«¹úÂãÎè, will either be practising family medicine in a remote military base in Canada, or providing humanitarian relief in an overseas war zone.

The essence of family medicine
Justin Ross, MD, has been practising family medicine in Mistissini,ÌýEeyou Istchee, for 10 years. Thanks to the Cree community’s hospitality and a high level of job satisfaction, he plans to stay at least another decade.
