Wireless broadband solutions specialist Cambium Networks has named Munich-based Tabatha von Kölichen (MBA’91) as the new Regional Sales Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, known collectively as the DACH region. She will be responsible for management solutions, Wi-Fi and Industrial Internet of Things activities, as well as for expanding the company’s network of resellers throughout the region. Ms.

Desautels alumnus appointed director at Quantum
According to Stockwatch.com, Quantum International Income Corp. has announced that Red Cloud Klondike Strike CEO and Desautels alumnus Chad Williams (BEngr’ 89, MBA’93) has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Mr. Williams has plenty of experience to draw on: he’s on the Board at Denver Gold Group, and has worked in senior management at Victoria Gold, Blackmont Capital and TD bank.
Desautels alumnus named group VP at Shire
Desautels alumnus John Snisarenko (BSc’86 and MBA’91) has been appointed Group VP of the Ophthalmology Business Unit for Shire US. He comes to Shire from Genentech, where he was VP Sales and Marketing. Before that, he worked on long-term strategy for Novaris Pharma Canada and started an ophthalmology division for CIBA Vision. He has also worked for Alcon Canada and Allergan Canada.
Bombardier claims that rough times are in the past
It’s been a rough ride for Bombardier’s management, workforce, and stock prices; but VP Investor relations Patrick Ghoche says that the company has navigated through the worst of it and is now delivering on its plan to be at the break-even point by late next year.
Desautels alumnus appointed to board at Rideau
Lester Fernandes (MBA’82) has been appointed to lead the audit committee of Montreal-based human-capital manager Rideau Recognition Solutions. The company is in full-on expansion mode; according to CEO Peter Hart, Mr. Fernandes’ experience will help the company hit its goals. And that experience is extensive: he’s been senior VP and CFO at Pivotal Payments since 2001. Before that, he spent a decade at BMO. He was also on the board of Castle Resources until 2016.
Desautels alumnus promoted at CIBC
According to BNN.ca, changes are afoot at CIBC: a shakeup of the management team has two department heads leaving the company, as well as a couple of promotions. One of those promotions sees Desautels alumnus Jon Hountalas (BCom’84, MBA’91), bumped up to Group Head, Commercial Banking and Wealth Management, Canada from his previous role of running the company’s commercial banking arm.

Philippe Cloutier (MBA'02) is the new Senior VP and CFO at Vidéotron, reporting directly to CEO Manon Brouillette. Rima Qureshi leaves Ericsson North America after less than a year as boss
After less than a year at the job, Ericsson Senior VP and head of North American operations Rima Qureshi (BCom’87, MBA’96) has left the company. Chief Strategy Officer Niklas Hueveldop has stepped in on an interim basis, and the company has started the search for a permanent replacement. Ericsson is in the midst of a turnaround, streamlining operations and bumping up its investment in R&D.
