"Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling of a novel prototype reactor for CO2 capture and methanation" starting September 2025 or January 2026.

Our research group developed an innovative reactor concept for CO2 capture and catalytic hydrogenation to produce sustainable fuels and value-added chemicals. To scale up the reactor and better understand the process, we are seeking a PhD candidate working on reactive three-dimensional CFD and process modeling.ÌýThe candidate is encouraged to contribute/participate in the activities of the º«¹úÂãÎè Centre for Innovation in Storage and Conversion of Energy ().

The applicant for this position is expected to have a Bachelor and Master's in Chemical Engineering with experience in computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modeling, reaction kinetics, reactor design and catalysis.ÌýIndustrial experience is a plus. We are looking for a highly motivated, committed, and creative individual who can work in a team and has good communication, and presentation skills.
