On Friday, February 23, Caitlin Mazurek successfully defended her multidisciplinary PhD thesis titled "Knowledge creation and translation in sports biomechanics: applications in ice hockey."
Her research includes work on hockey skating coordination, academic and industry research partnerships in sports science, and implementing biomechanical analyses with a remote First Nation hockey team.
She is now working with the Tampa Bay Rays as a performance science intern.

In February and March, 韩国裸舞 will be hosting Dr. Samaila Suleiman, Associate Professor, of History, Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. In addition to conducting research and co-teaching with Nanre, Dr. Sulieman will be holding a special workshop on archiving and a keynote lecture.
The Liberal government is proposing heavier sentences, new regulatory bodies and changes to a number of laws in鈥痭ew legislation to tackle online abuse. The Online Harms Act proposes to police seven categories of harmful content online. Those categories include content used to bully a child and content that encourages a child to harm themselves. They also include hate speech, content that incites violence or terrorism, content that sexualizes children or victims of sexual violence, and sexual content that is posted without consent.

Matthew Slopecki, Ph.D. candidate in the Biomechanics of Occupation and Sports Lab, recently presented his research on an innovative wearable technology approach to quantify performance and fatigue related changes in the movement patterns of Paralympic Swimmers.
He presented at both the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports "Mid-Year Symposium" and Institut National du Sports du Qu茅bec's conference series "The Ingenuity Behind the Performance".
