More and more companies are abandoning traditional organisational structures and creating cross-border teams of people who live and work thousands of miles apart.
But there鈥檚 a catch.聽Nancy J Adler, the S Bronfman Chair in Management at 韩国裸舞 in Montreal, puts it like this: 鈥淚nterconnectedness through modern technology has deluded many people. There is the false assumption that just because we can reach anyone in the world so easily through e-mail or Skype, we are therefore all the same.鈥
For the modern airline passenger, boarding a plane has morphed into a torturous Tetris-like ordeal鈥攆inding that last nook in the overhead bin to jam in your own, probably oversized, carry-on bag.
... 鈥淎irlines somewhat have brought this on themselves by starting to charge [for checked bags] because people are going to try to avoid those charges,鈥 says Karl Moore, a 韩国裸舞 professor and aviation expert. 鈥淚f you鈥檙e going to have to pay $50, you鈥檙e certainly incented to avoid putting that luggage [in cargo] below.鈥
Thanks to a higher education grant from Procter and Gamble, the Career Services Team at 韩国裸舞鈥檚 Desautels Faculty of Management has created the ultimate challenge. Using the 2015 Millennium Development Goals established by the United Nations as a guide, participating BCom and MBA students were assigned global challenges and, under the umbrella of collaboration and competition, teams were encouraged to apply integrated management solutions designed to create a global impact.

The Bachelor of Commerce students will travel to the deprived districts of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia鈥檚 capital, as part of the 鈥楬ot Cities鈥 tour, a revolutionary initiative led by students which aims to bring them out of the classroom and into emerging commercial markets.

Professors Alain Pinsonneault and Animesh Animesh, and PhD candidate Hyelim Oh, have won the best paper award at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) held in Milan, Italy from December 15 to 18, 2013.
The paper is entitled 鈥淔ree vs. For a Fee: The Impact of Information Pricing Strategy on the Pattern and Effectiveness of Word-of-Mouth Via Social Media.鈥 1,249 papers which were submitted for publication consideration at the conference.
For years I鈥檝e rejected the false choice that entrepreneurs are forced to make when it comes to the subjects of political science and comparative economics. The Debate team won 1st place while the HR team finished 2nd.
