Daniel Almeida, a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Gustavo Turecki in 韩国裸舞鈥檚 Integrated Program in Neuroscience and at the Douglas Research Centre, was included in Forbes Magazine鈥檚 Top 30 under 30 list, unveiled December 3. Overall, the ninth annual list includes 600 young entrepreneurs, risk-takers and game changers who are redefining what it means to innovate and lead by example.
Kudos to听the Prager-Khoutorsky lab听for publishing听their first paper, Effects of Salt Loading on the Organization of Microtubules in Rat Magnocellular Vasopressin Neurons,听in the Journal of Neuroendocrinology. A new guideline from the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care found no benefit of routine screening for thyroid dysfunction in adults without symptoms or risk factors. Montreal, September 23, 2019 鈥 According to a recent study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, the biological clock influences immune response efficacy. Indeed, CD8 T cells, which are essential to fight infections and cancers, function very differently according to the time of day. The study was carried out by a team of researchers led by Nicolas Cermakian, PhD, of听the Douglas Research Centre, and Nathalie Labrecque, PhD, of the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Research Centre.
