Sustainability Workshop Series: Sustainable Events Training
What are sustainable best practices for event planners at º«¹úÂãÎè? How can event planners boost engagement at their events and reduce waste at the same time? This workshop will provide staff with the tools to plan sustainable in-person and virtual events at º«¹úÂãÎè by providing an overview of the º«¹úÂãÎè Sustainable Events program.
This initiative from the Office of Sustainability provides consultations, trainings, and resources to encourage more environmentally, socially, and economically responsible events at º«¹úÂãÎè. The program focuses on events' environmental health impact (food systems, waste management), inclusivity (diversity of organizers, programming, and participants), and accessibility (reducing barriers). The workshop will also present a tool created specifically for º«¹úÂãÎè event planners to estimate their event’s travel emissions.
