Advancing the understanding and treatment of benign and malignant endocrine diseases, including thyroid cancer. She is particularly interested in patient-centered communication, shared decision-making, molecular testing in thyroid cancer, and the role of language and epistemology in surgery.
Dr. Rajam Raghunathan, MDCM, PhD, is an Assistant Professor to the Division of General Surgery. She earned her MD from º«¹úÂãÎè Faculty of Medicine in 2017 and completed her general surgery residency at the University of Ottawa in 2022. Following her residency, she pursued a Research Fellowship and served as an Adjunct Instructor of Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. Currently, Dr. Raghunathan is a General and Endocrine Surgeon at Lachine Hospital and the º«¹úÂãÎè Health Centre (Glen Site). Her research focuses on advancing the understanding and treatment of benign and malignant endocrine diseases, including thyroid cancer. She is particularly interested in patient-centered communication, shared decision-making, molecular testing in thyroid cancer, and the role of language and epistemology in surgery
