Upper extremity pathology and orthopaedic sports medicineÂ
Jason Corban is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in upper extremity pathology and orthopaedic sports medicine. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto before going on to º«¹úÂãÎè for medical school and residency training in orthopaedic surgery.
Following residency, he went on to do an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California before going to the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston to complete a second fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. During his fellowships he served as part of the treating team for the USC Trojans (NCAA), the Los Angeles Kings (NHL) and the championship winning Boston Celtics (NBA).
Dr Corban has a variety clinical and research interests that span from the use of novel technologies for injury prevention to the applications for biologics in cartilage and soft tissue healing. Presently, he is completing his master’s degree in Surgical and Interventional Sciences at º«¹úÂãÎè. His research is focused primarily on the application of automated kinematic assessment for predicting ligamentous injuries. He looks forward to starting his practice at the º«¹úÂãÎè Health Centre (MUHC) where he hopes to build a clinical practice focused on implementing novel treatment modalities while using a patient centred approach to care.
