Overview

Psychiatry : Current and emerging trends of eHealth, highlighting both local and international applications, interventions, and research in the mental health context. Critical issues related to the integration of eHealth applications and interventions in health care, community care and public health. Topics include the definition and taxonomy of eHealth; the interdisciplinary foundation of the eHealth and eMental health fields; data capturing and repository systems (e.g., electronic health records [EHR] systems); widely diffused and emerging technologies (e.g., mobile apps, virtual communities, virtual reality (VR), video games, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning); patient engagement in designing eHealth applications; patient safety standards; applications evaluation.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2024-2025 academic year.
