Vue d'ensemble
Linguistique : An introduction to the theory and methods of dialectology (the study of regional variation in language) with an emphasis on connections with linguistic theory. Students will also acquire a practical knowledge of major differences among dialects of English, and will gain hands-on experience in the planning, implementation and analysis of a dialect survey.
