Overview

Civil Engineering : Stress, strain, and equations of elasticity. General and particular solutions of plane and axisymmetric problems. Stress concentration and failure criteria. Unsymmetrical bending of beams; shear centres; torsion of thin-walled structural members. Analysis of plates and shells. Elements of linear fracture mechanics.
