Participation sports and leisure activities is an important component of child development, but engagement of children with disabilities remains limited compared to children of the same age. Families and health professionals indicate that access to information on available resources is an essential factor facilitating participation. The use of an app, JOOAY, in an important step to influence policy and community change. SPOT's Dr. Annette Majnemer and Dr. Keiko Shikako-Thomas present on the exciting possibilities of this use of technology.
