Abstract:听As private university residences have emerged as a new frontier of investment by sophisticated financial actors, international students have also become scapegoats of Canada鈥檚 housing affordability crisis, and scholarship increasingly describes purportedly global processes of 鈥渟tudentification,鈥� remaking some neighbourhoods as isolated 鈥渂ubbles鈥� or enclaves of student life.
