Biography:
Dr. Pierre-Olivier Fiset is an Anatomical Pathologist and Associate Professor at the º«¹úÂãÎè Health Centre. His practice includes mainly Thoracic Pathology (fellowship at University of Toronto) but also Medical Kidney Pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology and Molecular and Biomarker Pathology.
Current research:
- Thoracic Oncology Clinical Digital Database and Biobank (TOCDB) Digital Pathology section for advanced diagnosis with computer vision and artificial intelligence
- Computer vision, machine learning and artificial intelligence application in gastrointestinal diseases such as celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease
- Advanced diagnostics and biomarkers of thoracic and gastrointestinal carcinomas
- Investigation in immune tumour microenvironments, especially in post-neoadjuvant treated carcinomas
- Quality assessment and improvement studies for patient biopsies and surgeries for lung carcinomas
- Innovative methods and technologies in pathology education
