THE WASHINGTON POST | Los Angeles teachers just proved that the common wisdom about unions is wrong

Just off the 101 freeway in downtown Los Angeles, a billboard urges teachers to 鈥渞ead this before spending another $1,000 on union dues.鈥� The ad touts聽teacherfreedom.org, a site sponsored by the Koch-backed聽California Policy Center聽that offers instructions on how teachers can leave their union, along with testimonials from people identified as teachers recounting how much freer they felt after leaving their union.
