Do boys and girls have different styles of learning? It’s a hot question these days, because girls have been pulling ahead of boys in terms of academic achievement for several years. For example, females represent about 60 per cent of students on university campuses these days – and the gap is widening. Meanwhile, the vast majority of high-school dropouts consist of boys… “I think if educators knew that, we’d all breathe a big sigh of relief,” said Dr. Fiona J. Benson, director of the Office of Student Teaching at . “There aren’t really many gender differences in abilities and intelligence. But it merits some further thought and research, and for people to figure out what’s going on.”
