Biography: 

A leading voice among Canadian trumpet players, Robert Weymouth was recently appointed Second Trumpet of the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal. Previously he has held the positions of Principal Trumpet of the Canadian Opera Company and Second Trumpet of the National Ballet Orchestra. Along with these positions he has toured and performed with many orchestras including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the National Arts Center Orchestra, the Hamilton Philharmonic, and Orchestre Symphonique de Québec. Robert performs as Solo Cornet of the Hannaford Street Silver Band and is a member of the Canadian National Brass Project and an associate member of the True North Brass.

Robert was born and raised outside of Toronto, Ontario and completed his studies at the Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music under the tutaledge of Andrew McCandless and Barton Woomert. He studied as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and the Hannaford Youth Band.

Robert maintains an active teaching studio having been faculty at both the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, as well as National Music Camp. Robert is a course lecturerer at Schulich School of Music.
