In a recent profile by the, Dean聽Brenda Ravenscroft discusses her efforts over the past year at the Schulich School of Music, including establishing a diversity mandate.

Of the initiative, Ravenscroft said: "As the school鈥檚 first full-term female Dean, I believe I have a responsibility to contribute to this progressive educational environment by modeling and enhancing diversity. A diverse community enhances excellence. We need to recruit people from under-represented populations, and to intentionally portray the School as a welcoming environment for everyone.鈥�
