Mac Paddle Shack to open soon

We are excited to announce the opening this summer of the Mac Paddle Shack. Operated by Athletics and Recreation and servicing the community as well as John Abbott, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue and the general public, the Mac Paddle Shack will offer hourly kayak, stand up paddle board (SUP) and canoe rentals, paddling instruction and paddle board yoga classes.

Canning at Home? Brush up on your science to avoid dangerous pathogens

The list of “bad things” could range from gross but harmless spoilage to dangerous pathogens such as Clostridium botulinum. In the case of botulism, it’s the toxin produced from the bacteria that is harmful, not the bacteria itself, says Brigitte Cadieux, a postdoctoral fellow in ’s Department of Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry.

Macdonald Farm closed to visitors this summer due to construction of new Community Engagement Centre
