A January 2017 article in University Affairs wrote 鈥溾€�. The article highlighted some of the common fears and concerns surrounding publishing in today鈥檚 academic landscape.

This leads many graduate students and faculty to wonder: how can you tell what鈥檚 a credible publication or conference? Is this a legitimate solicitation to publish my thesis/article or a scam? This 60-minute session will discuss predatory publishing, how to identify a legitimate publisher, what resources are available to help researchers on-campus as well as the common myths and perceptions surrounding Open Access.
