Description
One of the challenges of fellowship writing is how to use the space allotted to communicate clearly and concisely. This hands-on workshop will provide participants with tips and practice on how to edit text without losing the integrity of their ideas.
Learning Objectives
Participants will:
• Learn editing tips and strategies
• Practice editing sample texts for concision, clarity, and cohesion
• Apply one or two techniques to a short sample of their own work
Instructions
To make the workshop as productive as possible, please identify 2-4 paragraphs of your fellowship application that you would like to improve. (A draft is fine).
Facilitator
This workshop will be led by Sarah Wolfson, a Course Lecturer at the º«¹úÂãÎè Writing Centre with ten years of experience teaching composition and academic writing.
