About Dr. Ka Ho Tong
Dr. Tong completed his MD degree and residency in family medicine at Université Laval. He then completed a certificate of added competency in care of the elderly.
He is currently an assistant professor within the Department of Family Medicine. He practices family medicine and geriatrics and provides teaching to clerkship students and residents at the U-FMG Jardins-Roussillon in Châteauguay, where is he also the undergrad site lead. He is currently chief of the geriatric assessment units and the intensive rehabilitation units at the CISSS Montérégie-Ouest. He is also actively involved in providing primary care to the growing Chinese community living in Montreal’s South Shore.
As a board member of the Association des médecins omnipraticiens du Sud-Ouest, he is also active in the representation of the interests and well-being of family physicians from his region.
Dr. Tong is actively involved in the orientations of continuing medical education for family doctors in Quebec as the Fédération des médecins omnipraticiens du Québec (FMOQ) regional manager for continuing medical education for the southwest region of Québec and as member of its central continuing medical education committee.
