Participate in an Exciting Study Focusing on Running Asymmetry and Fatigue

Who?

Any recreational, competitive, or elite-level runners can participate.

You must be/you:

  • aged between 18 to 40 years
  • run at least 20 km per week and regularly participate in running for 3-6 months
  • have not had any musculoskeletal injuries in the past 6 months, any neurological or cardiovascular and respiratory conditions or pregnancy
  • should not be under any medications or rehabilitation programme

What?

Are you curious about your muscle strength and which side of your body you should focus on during gym sessions? Do you want to know whether you possess equal strength in your dominant and non-dominant sides during and after running?
This study provides the ideal opportunity to answer these questions and improve your performance!

Where?

Biomechanics of Occupation and Sport (BOS) Laboratory, Currie Gymnasium, º«¹úÂãÎè, 475 Pine Avenue West, Montreal, Qc.

When?

Now recruiting 15 female and 15 male endurance runners.

Why?

To identify the sex-specific effects of localized hip and leg muscle fatigue compared to running-related fatigue on lower limb running biomechanics.
