Olympic Trio Heads º«¹úÂãÎè Sports Hall of Fame Induction Class of 2021

Three Olympians head a list of six new inductees for the Class of 2021, announced Tuesday, to the º«¹úÂãÎè Sports Hall of Fame.
Former Canadian national basketball team captain Sylvia Sweeney, a Montrealer now residing in Toronto, will be joined by swimmer Marianne Limpert, a silver-medalist at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games who hails from Fredericton, N.B., and rower Derek O'FarrellÌý(BSc '07) from Unionville, Ont.

Other honoured laureates include five-time volleyball All-Canadian Jennifer Thomson (BEd '09, MA '11) of Rosemere, Que., who now resides in St. Alexandre, Que., Gilles Hudon (BA '84), a Montreal-born hockey player currently residing in Columbia, S.C., and Thomas Thompson (BSc [PE] '58; DipEd '61; MEd '78) of Westmount, Que., who was elected in the builder category after six decades of administrative support and alumni development for º«¹úÂãÎè Athletics and Recreation as well as the University.
