A great milestone for Aspire Food Group
Aspire Food Group, a manufacturer of food products made from crickets co-founded by former MBA student聽Mohammed Ashour, announced that it has acquired Exo, a producer of protein bars made from crickets.
According to Ashour, 鈥淭here was such a great meeting of minds it very quickly evolved into Aspire acquiring Exo. The synergy and logic just make sense鈥.
Former Cisco CEO sees big promise in crickets as food
The former Cisco Systems CEO, John Chambers, has emerged as a public advocate for the Aspire Food Group鈥檚 edible cricket foods.
What鈥檚 more, he has pledged to invest in the promising company co-founded by former Desautels MBA student聽Mohammed Ashour. For the record, his favorite flavor is sea salt and vinegar.聽

Azimut appoints Desautels alumna as director
Azimut Exploration Inc. has appointed Angelina Mehta (MBA鈥02) as its new company director, effective February 27, 2018.
In addition to an MBA, Mehta holds a degree in mining engineering and is also pursuing a Masters of Law at York University. She has previously worked as an investment manager at The Sentient Group and has gained both technical and corporate experience with Rio Tinto's subsidiary, Iron Ore Company of Canada.
