IMHL alumnus receives award for contribution to public health
In November, the Association pour la santé publique du Québec (ASPQ) awarded the 2019 Jean-Pierre Bélanger Prize to Dr. Yv Bonnier-Viger (IMHL’08). This award recognizes Dr. Bonnier-Viger’s contribution to the advancement of knowledge in international health and preventive medicine, and for his commitment to improving public health.

For Longueuil police chief and Desautels alumnus Fady Dagher (EMBA’12), providing his staff with adequate exposure to vulnerable communities in Montreal is an important step in reducing prejudices.
Through daily exposure to Muslim communities, people suffering from mental health problems, and children with autism, the Longueuil police staff will gain the experience needed to bring an element of human services to their role.

Professor Richard Donovan honoured in MBA Japan case competition
In honour of the late Professor Richard Donovan, the Desautels MBA Japan program recently hosted the º«¹úÂãÎè MBA Japan Case Competition. The internal event gives students a chance to put their knowledge to practice by bringing them together over 24 hours to solve a case competition.
Teams presented to a judging panel of º«¹úÂãÎè MBA Japan alumni before the winners—Hoson Kablawi, Naohisa Takahashi, and Hazuki Yamashita—were awarded the Richard Donovan Cup.
