MealCare pioneers model for tackling hunger and reducing food waste

Since 2017, MealCare has diverted thousands of pounds of surplus food from cafes and cafeterias around º«¹úÂãÎè’s campus to nearby homeless shelters and soup kitchens in downtown Montreal.
As co-president of the º«¹úÂãÎè chapter of MealCare, which has grown into a national organization, BCom student Mathilde Ensminger joins a dedicated group of º«¹úÂãÎè students who are seizing an opportunity to confront food insecurity in a challenging time.
