º«¹úÂãÎè BCom students take "People's Choice Award" at Champions Trophy Case Competition 2008 in Auckland

º«¹úÂãÎè BCom students Mitch Cohen, Debbie Asirvatham, Tiffany Uman and Adam Beach participated in the 1st annual Champions Trophy Case Competition 2008, hosted by the University of Auckland in New Zealand, January 26 to February 3. Prof. Richard Donovan, their advisor, accompanied the team to Auckland.

º«¹úÂãÎè made it to the finals. Although the University of Auckland was chosen overall winner, the º«¹úÂãÎè team took the "People's Choice Award" by being voted as best team by their student colleagues and advisors. Besides º«¹úÂãÎè and Auckland, the University of Melbourne and the Copenhagen Business School were the other finalists to analyze and present a case on Air New Zealand.

In earlier events, 12 teams from seven countries had three preliminary rounds in three days, where they received information about a New Zealand company and had five hours to come up with a presentation and Q & A session. The three companies being studied were the Fletcher Building Group, Charlie's Group and Sky City Entertainment Group.
