BCom Graduate William Shatner Appointed as the Next Governor General?
"It's time for Canada to boldly go where no country has gone before. It's time for Canada to appoint the incomparable William Shatner to the position of Governor General. Indeed, it's time to Back the Shat." So opens the Facebook page to "Help nominate William Shatner for Governor General of Canada". The movement has garnered 12,319 [16,000] fans since its start in late March. [In a good-natured response to a similar effort last year, Shatner, 79, said he would prefer to be prime minister rather than take on the ceremonial post of governor general. Another Facebook page is pushing [the other º«¹úÂãÎè grad] Canadian bard Leonard Cohen for governor general. It was closing in on 6,500 fans Thursday.]
