Kate Arthur & Cristiano Therrien

Kate Arthur will kick off the event by establishing a shared foundation for understanding artificial intelligence. Drawing from her forthcoming book, A(m)I Literate? Redefining Literacy in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, she'll lead a discussion of practical applications of ethical frameworks in industry settings. A two-time EdTech founder and one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women, Kate brings over 15 years of expertise in digital literacy, education, and ethics here in Montreal.

Following this, Cristiano Therrien will showcase Open North‘s data governance framework developed with Montreal in Common. Based on principles from the Montreal Digital Data Charter, he will present concrete actions for managing data across its lifecycle. In a unique opportunity, 2-3 participants from startups or small businesses will receive guidance on implementing these frameworks within their organizations. If you would like your startup or small business to be considered, please indicate so in the reservation form.
