Biography:
Dr. Melissa-Rosina Pasqua received her training in Biochemistry and her Doctorate in Medicine, 2016, at the University of Ottawa. She trained in Core Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at º«¹úÂãÎè, 2021. Her PhD (2021-2024) in Experimental Medicine, conducted at º«¹úÂãÎè under Professor Ahmad Haidar, focused on the potential benefit of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP1 receptor agonists as adjunct to automated insulin pump therapy in adults with type 1 diabetes. She received an FRQS Award and the CSEM Dr. Fernard Labrie postdoctoral research award during her graduate studies.
Her clinical and research focus pertains to type 1 diabetes care, adjunctive therapy, and diabetes technologies, particularly insulin pumps and replacement algorithms.
