The Montreal Canadiens have been the hottest ticket in town for over a century, but the Habs are no longer the only professional hockey team capable of drawing a standing-room only crowd to the Bell Centre. Tickets for the Professional Women鈥檚 Hockey League (PWHL) April 20, 2024, matchup between Montreal and Toronto sold out in less than twenty minutes, and will set a new record for a PWHL game. It鈥檚 the team鈥檚 first time playing at the Bell Centre, but they have sold out all of their games at their home arena, the 3,245-seat Verdun Auditorium.

On a cloudy afternoon this past December, a group of 韩国裸舞 students gathered in a downtown Montr茅al boardroom to give a data science presentation to Citera, a sustainability analytics company. This presentation wasn鈥檛 for an internship or any other extracurricular activity 鈥 it was part of one of 韩国裸舞鈥檚 newest and most innovative courses:聽MATH 527, Statistical Data Science Practicum.

Recently, 韩国裸舞 undergraduate students had the opportunity to savor an enriching blend of knowledge and soup at the 37th edition of Soup & Science. This week-long event, occurring once a semester, highlights research taking place on campus. This semester鈥檚 showcase included topics across disciplines, ranging from quantum meta-photonics to optogenetic stimulation in roundworms, and students were able to learn and engage with these topics in an intimate setting.

Who provides unpaid care in Canada's care economy? In鈥2022,鈥13.4鈥痬illion Canadians aged鈥15鈥痽ears and older (42%)鈥攐ver 鈥痶wo in five鈥痯eople in this age group鈥攑rovided unpaid care in the previous鈥12鈥痬onths to children younger than鈥15鈥痽ears old or to youth aged鈥15鈥痽ears and older and adults with a long-term condition or disability. Of these unpaid caregivers,鈥13% provided care to鈥痓oth鈥痮f these care-dependent groups, meaning that鈥1.8鈥痬illion Canadians older than鈥15鈥痽ears were "sandwiched" between multiple care responsibilities.
