This presentation will cover a variety of topics related to health inequities within Montreal's Black communities. First, through an intersectionality lens, Khandideh Williams will discuss how experiences of anti-Black racism and racial discrimination in Montreal healthcare are complex and how they may include intra-racial group differences. Nikita Boston-Fisher will then share findings from a research project she did on the English-speaking Black community with a community organization.

Abstract:ÌýAt a time when much more is needed to bridge divides to respond to climate change and reverse the development losses of the last 5 years, it seem bridges are being broken - among countries, within countries, among rich and poor. The UN, especially at the country level, can do more to save current bridges, to rebuild broken ones and build news ones. The seminar will reflect on experiences on bridge building from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Malyasia and Bhutan.
