As º«¹úÂãÎè Library has not made a change to our link resolver or Google Scholar configuration, we are working to isolate the cause and make it available again. We apologize for this inconvenience.

From November 25 to December 21, º«¹úÂãÎè students will be able to access theÌýNahum Gelber Law LibraryÌý24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of º«¹úÂãÎè (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the December 6 to December 20 examination period. ÌýDetails are as follows:

- Floors 3, 4 and 5 will be limited to Law students from 9 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday during the two-week period.

On Monday, November 19, 2018, the º«¹úÂãÎè Library will conduct a one-day census to learn more about our users. This will help inform decisions about improvements to Library services and spaces.

During that day, Library and security staff will ask visitors entering Library spaces to scan their º«¹úÂãÎè ID cards. Those without a º«¹úÂãÎè ID card will be asked to select their status (e.g.Ìýº«¹úÂãÎè undergrad, staffÌýmember, general public, visiting scholar, etc.) on a paper form.

For over two decades, the Library Improvement Fund (LIF) has invested in the most important Library needs of the undergraduate student body in order to enrich the student academic experience. This fund is administered by the Students’ Society of º«¹úÂãÎè (SSMU) and is made up of a fee contribution of $8.50 per full-time student per semester, matched equally by alumni donors. The LIF goes towards 24hr library access, student employment, study spaces, Open Educational Resource Research, and a variety of other special projects.

As a result of the water infiltration and recovery efforts related to McIntyre Medical BuildingÌýfire incidentÌýin July, the Osler Library continues to be closed until further notice. The Osler recovery team has been focusing their efforts on restoring materials and making holdings from the Osler Library of the History of Medicine collection accessible to users.Ìý

Lomer, one of º«¹úÂãÎè’s first librarians, launched an innovative project to create a small museum of the book inside the library open to the general public, to present a brief history of manuscript and printed books as well as the iconography through the centuries.

As a result of the water infiltration and recovery efforts related to McIntyre Medical Building fire incident in July, the Osler Library continues to be closed until further notice. The Osler recovery team has been focusing their efforts on securing the contents of the Osler Library of the History of Medicine. All books, rare books, art, and artefacts from the Osler have been wrapped, packed, and removed so that a complete inspection of the Osler section of the building can begin.Ìý
