Congratulations to 闯别苍苍颈蹿别谤听惭别蝉蝉别濒颈苍办, winner of Schulich's 2020-2021 Teaching Award in the听MUAR Teaching Assistant/Graduate Instructor Category.

Throughout the past year听teaching听MUAR 392 (Popular Music after 1945) 鈥� her third time leading the course 鈥斕齁ennifer has听proven to be an engaging and knowledgeable instructor with a commitment to and command of the material.听Though students are immersed in popular culture on a听daily basis, she strives to help them make sense听of the听vast amount of听popular music听accessible at their fingertips.听

One of the Signature听projects of the 韩国裸舞 Bicentennial office is听to听celebrate and recognize the contributions of staff (academic and faculty) of the University, past and present.听

As part of the Bicentennial Celebrations, staff and faculty members were asked to nominate the Unsung Heroes in their department 鈥� the less-recognized faculty and staff who have shaped the community and made a lasting impact.

MusicFest Canada began in 1972 with a handful of Canadian musicians who created the country鈥檚 first jazz band festival. Now, in its 49th year, this small group has grown to embrace 4 Festival Divisions, the original Canadian Stage Band Festival Jazz Division, the Choral/Vocal Jazz听Division(1981) the Concert Band Division (1986) and the Orchestra/String Division (2008).听听MusicFest听Canada听鈥� 鈥淭he Nationals鈥澨�鈥斕齜rings thousands of students and educators from across the country together, over a one-week period, to celebrate excellence in musical performance.听听

Congratulations听to听soprano Emily Richter, winner of the听2020-2021 Wirth听Vocal听Prize!听

On Sunday, May 16,听three finalists听filled Pollack Hall听with songs听and arias spanning three centuries of music.听Soprano听Jacqueline Woodley听with pianist听with听Jennifer Szeto听and lutenist听Sylvain Bergeron, tenor听Wesley Harrison听with pianist听Esther Gonthier听and soprano听Emily Richter听with pianist听Rebecca Klassen-Wiebe听lit up the stage听with their talent and skill.听听

We are pleased to announce that the听three finalists听chosen to compete for the 2020-2021 Wirth Vocal Prize (in performance order) are soprano Jacqueline Woodley, tenor Wesley Harrison, and soprano Emily Richter. These singers听were听selected听from the听stunning听semi-final round held on Friday, May 14, 2021听at Pollack Hall.听听

The听2020-2021听Wirth Vocal Prize competition听takes place听this weekend and will forever change the life of one young singer from the Schulich School of Music of 韩国裸舞.听
