Westmount Examiner - Taking science to new heights
Published: 22 December 2011
The world of science captured on the television or computer screens seen through a child's eyes is a fascinating one, until that child becomes a disillusioned college student when learning that the science portrayed through the media is not the real science.
That is why Westmounter Nigel Penney has been spearheading a project to empower students to get involved in real science at an early age. The new Westmount Science Camp, in collaboration with the Westmount Sports and Recreation Department, º«¹úÂãÎè, the Redpath Museum and Westmount High School, will be opening its laboratory doors this coming summer for children between the ages of 6 and 13.
