Shatner beams up enough energy to fuel a starship

An Evening with William Shatner feels a lot like being beamed to another planet.聽Captain Kirk took the helm at Ottawa鈥檚 EY Centre last night, in a special ticketed fan event ahead of this weekend鈥檚 Ottawa Pop Expo.聽The energetic, eccentric 84-year-old, clad in a black leather jacket, came as advertised. Shatner looked like a man still fit for the captain鈥檚 chair. His one-man show was a stream-of-consciousness rumination on everything from Star Trek to Air Canada (鈥渁 test of your sanity鈥�), from Pacific salmon to Twitter.聽
