Morin-Boucher named De Facto Quebec university athlete of the week

MONTREAL -- º«¹úÂãÎè soccer star Alexandra Morin-Boucher of St. Gabriel de Brandon, Que., has been named as the De Facto - Quebec University female athlete of the week for the period ending Sept. 12, 2010.

A five-foot-six midfielder with the Martlets, Morin-Boucher scored four goals in two weekend victories for º«¹úÂãÎè. The 21-year-old physical education junior netted a hat-trick, including the game-winner in a 5-1 home-field victory over Sherbrooke last Friday, then scored the insurance marker in Sunday's 3-0 win at Bishop's. Morin-Boucher enrolled at º«¹úÂãÎè in 2008 out of College Régional de Lanaudiere à Joliette.

Male athlete-of-the-week honours went to Ilyes Benmiloud, a soccer player with the Laval Rouge et Or.
