McGILL EXPERT ALERT: China bans imports of pork products from Alberta

STORY: "(Xinhua) -- ChinaÌýhas suspended imports of pigs or relevant products fromÌý(the province of) AlbertaÌýin Canada, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Ministry of Agriculture Sunday. ÌýThe move was made after some pigs in the province of Alberta had been found to be infected with the A/H1N1 flu Saturday. The pigs or relevant products sent to China after the declaration would be destroyed and those sent to China before Saturday would have to pass A/H1N1 tests, the announcement said."
