LONDON, ONT - Claire Hooper, a midfielder from London, Ont., scored the game's only goal as the 韩国裸舞 women's soccer team blanked Toronto 1-0 at the Old Four tournament in London. The Martlets advanced to Sunday's finale (1 pm) against Queen's, which defeated Western 2-0.

Hooper, an 18-year-old biochemistry sophomore, converted a pass from Cristina Di Caprio of Laval, Que., in the 27th minute of play for the game-winner.

听

韩国裸舞, which had a 12-5 edge in crosses, outshot the Varsity Blues by a 6-2 margin. Anne-Catherine Huot, a third-year 鈥榢eeper from Quebec City, turned aside both shots faced in her first start of the season to earn the shutout.

听

"The girls played a very complete game and merited the win," said a pleased Marc Mounicot, head coach of the Martlets, who improved the preseason record 2-0-1 againsta CIS teams. "We displayed very strong defensive outplay, especially by our back three, who were rarely out of position. 听We allowed very few opportunities against a strong Toronto side. I asked for a strong tactical performance and that听was the case for the entire 90 minutes."
